With Wolverhampton Wanderers agreeing a deal with Leeds United for talented attacker Helder Costa, he made his non-competitive debut for them in a friendly on Thursday evening.
Former Wolves Record Signing Seals Permanent Move To Championship Hopefuls
The deal sees the 25-year-old head to Elland Road on a loan spell for the 2019/20 campaign, but that will then automatically become a buy deal next summer for a so far unstated fee, but we certainly won’t have lost money on him.
With Costa being a popular member of the squad, plenty of fans were sad to see him go and hoped it would only be a loan deal to help him find his form once again as we all know what he is capable of on a pitch when happy, in form and confident.
He scored on his debut against Guiseley Town and he seemed to have his swagger back – even allowing for the difference in levels here – and some couldn’t help but wonder if, with hindsight, we would regret the permanent clause.
This is more like the Helder Costa #Wolves fans remember from the Championship, from his debut for Leeds tonight, scoring in a 2-1 win at Guiseley: https://t.co/ZDqAReFqyM
